Senior Researcher, ISRA Institute

Prof. Dr. Younes Soualhi is currently a Senior Researcher at the ISRA Institute, affiliated with the Centre of Applied Shariah in Islamic Finance (CASHiF) under INCEIF University, Malaysia. With 30 years of teaching experience, he specializes in Islamic financial transactions (Fiqh), Usul al-Fiqh, and Takaful.

He has authored over 70 research papers and books published in reputable academic journals. In addition to his academic contributions, Prof. Younes is actively involved in consultancy, serving as a Senior Advisor to the World Bank (Washington, DC, USA) and as the Chairman or member of various Shariah Committees in Malaysia and internationally.

He is a Registered Financial Planner (RFP, MFPC-Malaysia) and a member of the AAOIFI Shariah Sub-Committee (Regional Shariah Committee). He earned his B.A. in Shariah from Emir Abdulqadir University for Islamic Sciences (Algeria) and obtained his M.A. and Ph.D. in Fiqh and Usul al-Fiqh from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and the University of Malaya (UM), respectively. Additionally, he holds a Diploma in Human Sciences.
