General Counsel, Bintang Capital Partners 

Ee Rong is the General Counsel of Bintang Capital Partners and a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. He is responsible for the legal, compliance and risk management functions of the firm, and works closely with the Investments team on the structuring and negotiation of Bintang’s investments and exits.  

He is also a member of Bintang’s ESG committee and works closely with the Investments and the Portfolio Management and Investor Relations teams on the implementation of the firm’s impact strategy.  

Prior to joining Bintang, he was a practising lawyer at Wong & Partners, a member firm of Baker McKenzie International, where he specialized in pan-Asian M&A, private equity and venture capital transactions.  

Ee Rong graduated from the University of Bristol, UK with a Bachelor of Laws and was called to the Malaysian Bar in September 2015.
