In her current leadership role as CIO Core Investment for Asia ex-Japan, Ecaterina represents AXA Investment Managers strategies and investment views across asset classes, with clients in Asia. Integral part of the AXA IM’s Investment Institute, with core focus on macro research, asset class, sustainability, and future trends insights, she contributes to the development of investment directions alongside portfolio managers, and research teams, driving sustained long-term investment performance. Ecaterina’s international experience, advising clients in buy and sell side roles, across equity and fixed income span over 15 years, with the recent 8 years based in Asia. She is recognized for building the iShares brand and growing bond ETFs adoption at BlackRock, both in Asia and Europe. She advanced synthetic equity and index solutions strategies for UBS as well as Credit Suisse and evolved structured financing offering for institutional clients in Europe at Dresdner Kleinwort. Ecaterina holds a Master of Science in Finance from Bayes Business School in London and Bachelor of Science in Finance from Academia de Studii Econmice in Bucharest.
