Tebtebaba Foundation (Indigenous Peoples’ International Centre for Policy Research and Education)

Vicky is the Executive Director of Tebtebba Foundation or the Indigenous Peoples International Centre for Policy Research and Education. She is an indigenous Kankana-ey from the Cordillera, Philippines. She is a staunch advocate for indigenous and women’s rights. She served as the former chair of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues from 2005 to 2010 and was also appointed as the UN Special Rapporteur on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. She served from 2014 to 2020.
