Mr. Jia Yaw is a practising lawyer. He serves on the Bar Council Environment and Climate Change Committee which works on environmental justice and climate change. He is the Co-Chair of the Malaysian CSO-SDG Alliance, a network of more than 70 civil society organisations whose work relate to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. He is also a Secretariat Member of the All-Party Parliamentary Group of Malaysia on the Sustainable Development Goals (APPGM-SDG), which presently works with 30 parliamentarians across the political divide, with 121 SDG-related projects on the ground.

Mr. Jia Yaw advises consultants, policymakers, lawyers, businesses, social enterprises, non-profits and government bodies on a range of issues related to sustainable development.
