Mr. Andrew is a key figure in developing the corporate sustainability agenda across South East Asia. He founded PwC’s regional sustainability practice in 2007, and has personally led over 200 corporate and developmental sustainability engagements across the region, including:

 

  • Development of sustainability disclosure guidelines for three stock exchanges in SE Asia
  • Leading edge assessments of the impact of both sustainability initiatives and material ESG indicators on base value for over 25 companies in SE Asia for a sovereign wealth fund
  • Capability building and development of the sustainable investment framework and policy for a top 20 pension fund by AUM
  • Identification and prioritisation of sustainability risks and assessment of material sustainability issues across various sectors
  • Development of corporate sustainability and creating shared values strategies
  • Development of green growth and green financing plans, including for green technology
  • Coached clients to develop and enhance their sustainability reports, including becoming listed on the DJSI Emerging Markets Index

 

Prior to joining PwC, he was a consultant with Gemini Consulting (London), where he worked on strategic, operational and change management issues. Mr. Andrew took a career break in 2012-13 to take up a post as Visiting Scientist at MIT Sloan School of Management where he delivered lectures on sustainability and coached student teams.  In his spare time, Mr. Andrew enjoys the outdoors and hikes, scuba dives, and plays tennis.  He is also a keen volunteer and has participated in a program to build houses for the hardcore poor in Northern Mongolia.
