Sarah advocates for education, youth and women empowerment, and civic engagement. She is the Executive Director of Women in Tech - Batangas chapter in the Philippines. WiTech Batangas aims to break the gender stereotypes in tech or STEM field and make a difference with technology by educating, inspiring, and empowering the youth to pursue a career in STEM. She hopes to inspire and help young girls in her home province to build their confidence in tech.
Sarah is currently one of the selected FuturePreneurs of the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative and part of the first official cohort of women social entrepreneurs of the DIWA capacity building programme designed by Ashoka. She has been awarded as one of the Top Five Global Youth Summit Outstanding Alumni by the Global Peace Foundation Philippines and the Building Back Better Award by the 2030 Youth Force Asia Pacific.
Prior to WiTech, she served as the Alliance Convenor of the National Youth Volunteers Coalition where she believes that building partnerships is essential in creating a bigger impact. She was also the National Deputy Director for Finance Management of the 2030 Youth Force in the Philippines, a youth-led nonprofit organization working towards the achievement of the UN Sustainable Goals.
Currently, she works as an Associate Technical Consultant for SAS, the leader in Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and Business solutions across the world. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from the University of the Philippines Los Banos.
