After an illustrious 30-year career in international corporate banking with strong credentials in Emerging Markets, Natural Resources, Sustainability and Governance, Mrs. DeRooij joined WWF Singapore as CEO in April 2019. Mrs. DeRooij is a frequent speaker and chairman of international industry events organised by institutes such as the Economist, the Financial Times, Dow Jones, Reuters and Euromoney and provides commentary on Bloomberg and CNBC. She is an occasional guest lecturer at INSEAD, and also authored an article on Commodity Super Cycles which was published in Asia Management Insights. Prior to WWF, Ms DeRooij held various positions in ABN AMRO, Standard Chartered Singapore, and Citigroup in the United States of America.
