World-Renowned Ecologist and Conservationist
Dr Julian Caldecott has worked on primates in West Malaysia, wildlife management in Sarawak, and conservation area planning in Sabah. He has managed a national park in Nigeria, advised the Indonesian government on biodiversity, and at UNEP focused on climate change, biodiversity, ecosystems, and disaster risk reduction. He has evaluated European aid programmes worth over €3 billion, and has written a text-book on assessing aid performance in fighting climate change. He has also published books on primates, hunting, governance, sustainability, conservation and water, and is now working on climate adaptation while actively supporting the global climate and ecological emergency movements.
