Uta Dietrich’s 25-year career in Health Promotion and Global Health has spanned education, policy, practice and research from her German roots to the USA, Hong Kong, Australia and Malaysia. As regional Director Health Promotion, she led programmes in chronic disease prevention, healthy ageing, reducing health inequities and community resilience to climate change. In her role as Research Fellow with United Nations University - International Institute for Global Health, she coordinated discussions across sectors on re-imagining healthy, just and sustainable cities in the lead up the UN Habitat’s conference on housing and sustainable urban development. Currently, Ms. Dietrich is a Senior Programme Manager & Lead for Resilience with Think City in Malaysia applying a health lens to urban rejuvenation with specific focus on vulnerable communities and climate & health to increase liveability in Malaysian Cities through research, advocacy and place-based interventions.
