Yasmin has 20 years of experience and knowledge in sustainability, community development, social entrepreneurship, and social responsibility in Malaysia. She is also an environmentalist and marine biologist with a PhD in Sustainability Science from University Malaya, a Master's degree in Biotechnology from the same university, and a Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology with a minor in Contemporary Religion from Duke University, USA.

Yasmin's focus is to work across trans- and interdisciplinary fields with multi-stakeholders to communicate, design, plan, manage, promote, and implement sustainability initiatives both in Malaysia and globally. She brings a wealth of knowledge to the team, having previously held key positions in various public and private organisations such as the Malaysian Global Innovation and Creativity Centre (MaGIC), and the Malaysian Environmental NGOs (MENGO).

In addition to her professional work, Yasmin is also co-founder of national social enterprises and non-profits such as EcoKnights and Poptani Asia, which focus on the implementation of sustainable initiatives in Malaysia. Her involvement in community mobilisation and research-based programs on issues related to sustainability also underscores her commitment to creating a sustainable future.

Yasmin's expertise and experience in sustainability have earned her recognition both locally and internationally. She has been invited to speak at numerous conferences and events, and her contributions to sustainable development have been widely acknowledged. She is passionate about her work and remains dedicated to driving sustainable development in Malaysia and beyond.
