Co-Founder and Founder Director, Forum for the Future
Sir Jonathon Porritt is an eminent advisor, writer and campaigner on sustainable development.
In 1996 he co-founded and remains Founder Director of Forum for the Future, a leading international sustainable development charity with offices in Singapore, India, the USA and UK.
Sir Jonathon chairs Air New Zealand’s International Advisory Panel and is a long-standing member of Unilever’s Sustainability Advisory Council. Until last year he was Independent Sustainability Advisor to Sime Darby Plantation Berhad.
In the UK, Sir Jonathon is involved in the sustainability work of many leading businesses, NGOs and charities. He is a Non-Executive Director of property construction company Willmott Dixon Holdings, and has been Chancellor of Keele University since 2012. As Chair of the UK Sustainable Development Commission he spent ten years providing high-level advice to UK Government Ministers. He was formerly Director of Friends of the Earth, co-chair of the Green Party, and Trustee of WWF-UK.
