Hilmy Yazid is a 4th year law student from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) where he is also the current trainer of the IIUM Debating Team. He was the Grand Finalist of the United Asian Debating Championships 2019 in Vietnam and the World Universities Debating Championship 2019 in Cape Town. As a result of his successes, he was awarded Malaysia's Debater of the Year in 2019.
