A sustainability thinker, Alwin was instrumental in establishing the SEMP (Sustainable Energy Management Program), a MyHijau certified program and SLiM (Sustainable Living in Malaysia). His previous low carbon initiatives include performing one of the first EPC projects with a private hospital in Malaysia in 2011.
His present research interests include but is not limited to zero energy building, micro architecture, energy transition through socio-technical approach, the Hexa-Helix model (a multi-stakeholder’s engagement) and river run-off micro hydropower with micro grid.
Alwin was the national winner for the 2014 ASEAN Green Award and 1st runner up on the ASEAN level. He is the Associate Fellow of the ASEAN Academy of Engineering and Technology (AAET) and a Member of the CEO Action Network (CAN). He is also the founder and CEO of ATECH Energy Malaysia.
