PEKA (Pertubuhan Pelindung Khazanah Alam)
Sophine Tann, born and raised in Penang, is, by profession, an interior design architect. Graduated from Academy of Arts College, Copenhagen, she worked in HK for 13 years (mainly in HK, Macau and China) before returning to Malaysia in 1990, where, together with Jimmy Lim, Past President of Pertubuhan Architect Malaysia (PAM), she worked in designing and construction of eco-friendly houses using recycled materials as well as heritage conservation projects in Penang and commercial projects in KL and Singapore. An avid lover of animals (both domestic and wildlife) and the natural environment, she also carried out experimentation of planting teak trees in different types of locations to get the best growth rates. Sophine joined PEKA in 2010 as Assistant Sec-Gen. She was also Chairman of PEKA Selangor in 2016 before her current role as Vice President of PEKA Malaysia.
